Two wheels: Ancma requests incentives for scooters and motorcycles. Piaggio races to Piazza Affari

Sharply rising prices for Piaggio: +6,7%, after the publication by MF of an indiscretion, according to which Ancma, National Association of Cycle Motorcycle Accessories he will ask that two-wheelers be included among the beneficiaries of the incentive plan under discussion for low-polluting cars.

The request provides for an incentive equal to 20% for scooters and del 30% for motorcycles compared to what is expected for cars.

The budget envisaged by the Government, Intermonte reports, does not seem to include incentives for the 2-wheeler sector: if there were an extension, however, it would be very positive for Piaggio which holds a market share of over 30% in the scooter segment in Italy and could improve the outlook for the Italian market.

Mediobanca Securities experts, who confirm the outperform rating with a target price of 2,6 euros per share, appreciate the news and at the same time note that Piaggio - thanks to the contract with Poste Italiane and market share gains - will in any case be capable of offsetting the expected decline in the market for 2012
