It's not enough to ask what artificial intelligence is capable of. The crucial question is who it does it for and what vision of the future it helps build. It is from this perspective that it developed in Calabria between Simeri and Tiriolo, from 23 to 25 September, Words of Hope – Harmonic Innovation: Words of Hope for a Magnifica Humanitas, the Forum promoted by Entopan together with the Harmonic Innovation Group. Over one hundred international leaders from the economic, financial, industrial, research, and institutional sectors attended the event in Calabria, discussing the future of work and business in the age of artificial intelligence. More than a traditional event dedicated to technological innovation, the Forum marked the beginning of an international journey that will continue in San Francisco in the spring of 2027 and in Castel Gandolfo in the fall of the same year, with the stated goal of developing a Harmonic Innovation Manifesto. The topic is also of particular interest to the economic and financial world, because behind the discussion on artificial intelligence, a much broader question is unfolding: How will business, work, capital and development models change when technology becomes a structural component of every production process?
From technological innovation to “harmonic” innovation
This is where the concept developed by Francesco Cicione, founder of Entopan and Harmonic Innovation Group, comes in. Innovation, in his view, cannot be evaluated solely on the basis of its ability to generate growth, efficiency, or competitiveness. It must also be measured in relation to the dignity of the person, the common good, and the quality of development. The term "harmonic" therefore takes on a precise meaning: not a mediation between different interests, but the search for a balance in which technology, economics, culture, and society can move forward together. It is a significant shift in perspective: from innovation as an end to innovation as a tool. This shift is particularly significant at a time when AI is rapidly transforming organizations, professions, and decision-making processes. One of the most interesting elements to emerge from the Forum is the attempt to connect cultural reflection to the financial dimension. Harmonic Innovation is associated with the construction of innovation ecosystems, patient financial capital, and new artificial intelligences based on clear principles. This point takes the debate beyond the now highly debated realm of AI ethics. The question becomes more concrete: what capital will finance the innovation of the future? What criteria will investors use? Which companies will be considered capable of generating not only economic but also social value? From this perspective, finance is not simply called upon to finance technological transformation, but to help guide it.
A platform that brings together different worlds
One of the distinctive elements of Words of Hope was the composition of the interlocutors. The Forum was attended by representatives of major technology and industrial groups, institutions, finance, universities, and the ecclesiastical world. Among the organizations involved were Microsoft, IBM, Cisco, Qualcomm, NXP Semiconductors, CNH Industrial, IFC, Intesa Sanpaolo, Banca Etica, the OECD, and the UNDP. The choice was not accidental. If technological transformation is systemic, the response cannot be confined to just one sector. Technology, industry, finance, research, education, and institutions are called to dialogue because the effects of AI now permeate all these areas.

Pasqualino Scaramuzzino, Executive Vice President and CEO of Harmonic Innovation Group, summed up HIG's position with a clear formula: innovation cannot simply be technological acceleration. Also presenting the proprietary AI project, COLNISSAR, he outlined a vision for an "anthropocentric, ethical by design, and wisdom-based" artificial intelligence capable of helping humans make better decisions without replacing their ability to choose.
It can be concluded that Calabria is not just a location since Entopan's message is explicitly to start a global comparison on innovation from the South.
