BPER Corporate & Investment Banking and UniCredit, as Global Coordinator, Mandated Lead Arranger and Bookrunner, together with Monte dei Paschi di Siena Bank as Mandated Lead Arranger and SACE, with Archimede Industria guarantee, supported with a structured financing of a total Ludoil Capital's strategic acquisition of €240 million Srl, a company wholly owned by Ludoil Energy SpA, following the successful outcome of the Golden Power process. BPER Corporate & Investment Banking also acted as agent, coordinating the transaction between the lending banks and SACE.
The operation allows Ludoil to complete its supply chain with the entry into the refining and creates the conditions to accompany the progressive transformation of the ISAB plants already characterized by a high technological content. A concrete example of how the financial system can support industrial decisions of strategic importance for the country. The pool of financing banks and SACE is supporting a leading Italian group in a strategic acquisition for the country. This acquisition strengthens a key European industrial asset in a context of strong international tensions, with consequent effects on energy costs, and, at the same time, consolidates the security of supply and refining capacity serving the Italian economy.
