Piero Gnudi returns to Nomisma, this time as Chairman of the board of directors. Seventy-six years old, former president of Enel and minister of tourism and sport in the Monti government, Gnudi will lead the study center over the next three years, trying to relaunch its activities. In this process, according to what was declared to Resto del Carlino, he hopes to be able to count on the help of the founding father of the company: Romano Prodi. The two have already collaborated in Palazzo Davia Bargellini, when Prodi headed the economic research center and Gnudi presided over the board of statutory auditors.
“It shouldn't be forgotten that the idea of Nomisma was his – recalls the new president – Prodi has always been linked to Nomisma, then he had many commitments, not small ones, and his attention waned. But now that he has more free time… ”. Gnudi picks up the baton of the last president Pietro Modiano. To him and to the vice president Luciano Sita (former number one of Granarolo) goes his gratitude, because "they have allowed Nomisma's professional growth and authority in these years of industrious and attentive activity". The former minister has decided to accept the proposal of the shareholders of the Bolognese think tank because he is convinced that today in Italy there is a need more than ever "of study centers that explore the themes of the real economy and that have particular attention to the world of small and medium-sized enterprises".
