The automotive giant Toyota is once again forced to withdraw its cars to remedy manufacturing defects.
This time the repairs concern about 242 thousand specimens of the Prius and Lexus lines, due to a malfunction in the braking system. The cars were built between March and October 2009 but the Japanese company specified that it had not received information from customers on possible accidents related to the problem, only about ninety complaints.
In detail, the Japanese company intends to recall 117 cars in Japan, 91 in the USA, 30 in Europe, of which 1914 in Italy, and 3 in Asia. For the repair, a spokesman for Toyota Italia said, three hours of work are needed. Customers will be notified by the manufacturer and the repair, totally free, will take about three hours.
