Still a sharp upside for the Italian spread, which during the afternoon reached a maximum of 294 basis points, to then retrace slightly around 290. The minimum of the day, however, was 277 points. The greatest extent reached today by the yield differential between 10-year BTPs and the equivalent German Bunds corresponds to interest rates on Italian ten-year bonds equal to 4,52%.
Meanwhile, the spreads of the other peripheral countries of the Eurozone are also starting to increase again: the Spanish differential rose up to 360 basis points (+6 cents) while the Portuguese one rose by 14 basis points, to 488 basis points.
