Between April and May, the index of production in the construction sector fell by 0,5%. On an annual basis, however, it is recorded a vertical drop of 13,6%. The data was released today by Istat.
On average for the March-May quarter, the seasonally adjusted index recorded a decline of 3% on a quarterly basis.
In the first five months of the year, on the other hand, production (adjusted index) fell by 14% compared to the same period of 2011. Based on the raw index, the figure fell by 13,7% compared to the same period of the year previous.
