Acea approves bylaw amendments: broader board of directors. Rivera: "The NRRP challenge has been met, now move forward with investments in water."

"The PNRR was a challenge won, now the water sector needs major projects and investments at the Italian and European level": from Utilitalia's Water Festival, which kicked off in Rome, comes the message from Acea which, through the words of the executive president, Alessandro Rivera, recalls the need to continue on the path of investments to strengthen and make the national water system more resilient.

The shareholders' meeting of That approved the amendment to Article 15.1 of the Articles of Association expanding the number of components of the board of directors which increases from 13 (thirteen) to 15 (fifteen). Both directors have declared that they meet the independence requirements set by law and, to the best of the company's knowledge, do not hold Acea shares.

The priority, he explained, is build a framework of structural investments that involves the country system and Europe, leveraging industrial expertise and the ability of managers to translate available resources into concrete projects. This path also involves innovation, network digitalization, and greater planning capacity, with the aim of making the water service increasingly efficient, sustainable, and resilient. In this new era, major industrial operators are ready to play their part. "In the first half of 2026 alone," Rivera explained, "the Acea group invested over 660 million".
