Finmeccanica has signed new contracts for a total value of 140 million euros for 11 Agusta Westland helicopters Ww139 and Ww169. The company reported that the new orders are coming from European and Asian countries.

These include the Thai military, which has announced the use of eight AW139s for additional transport and utility services, and the company Heliservices International, which will use the new AW169 for offshore activities in the North Sea. The ten Aw139s and one Aw169 ordered, in fact, will be used by customers to carry out various applications, including passenger transport, security operations and offshore transport.

Delivery by Finmeccanica is expected between the end of 2015 and the following 12 months. Thanks to their high performance and cutting-edge technology, these two helicopter models have found unparalleled success in their respective categories: intermediate for the AW139, the best-selling in its class, and light intermediate for the AW169 more recent certification, registering to date over 1.000 orders signed worldwide.
