Finmeccanica: will sell 85% of Ansaldo Energia to the Italian Strategic Fund of the CDP

Finmeccanica will sell 85% of Ansaldo Energia to the Italian Strategic Fund of the Cdp. This was reported by trade union sources after the meeting with Alessandro Pansa, general and financial director of the Finmeccanica group who will give the green light to the operation.

The agreement provides that the aerospace holding will remain a shareholder of Ansaldo Energia with a 15% stake until 2017 with an option to sell to the same FSI. Furthermore, with today's agreement, the CDP undertakes to find an international industrial partner for the energy company. Among the possible are the Koreans from Doosan.

The unions also let it be known that Finmeccanica and Cdp could sign an agreement through which Cassa depositi e prestiti would undertake to find an industrial partnership for the transport companies of the aerospace group, Ansaldo Sts and Ansaldo Breda.

The aim is to consolidate and develop the two companies. Ansaldo Sts and Ansaldo Breda have long been among the assets that the group intends to sell. And both the political world and the trade union world are asking that the two companies pass under public control before opening up to foreign partners, like what is happening for Ansaldo Energia.

Meanwhile, Finmeccanica closes at +0,29 with a value per share of 5,21.
