Hot alarm, and it shows no sign of abating. The wave of heat that is bringing Italy to its knees - especially the Centre-North - according to experts, it will reach its peak only on Wednesday: Tuesday and Wednesday will therefore be the two worst days, before a very slight improvement expected for Thursday, with temperatures well above 30 degrees anyway.
According to the bulletin of the Ministry of Health on “Heat Waves” just wednesday they will be 14 cities where boiling temperatures are expected with a maximum level risk, the famous "level 3": emergency conditions with possible negative effects on the health of healthy and active people and not only on the subgroups at risk such as the elderly, very young children and people with chronic diseases. The cities are Bologna, Bolzano, Brescia, Florence, Frosinone, Latina, Milan, Perugia, Rieti, Rome, Turin, Trieste, Verona and Viterbo.
Also on Wednesday, a "level 4" risk is expected in 2 other cities (weather conditions that can pose a risk to health): Ancona, Campobasso, Pescara and Venice. But the heat and sultriness will also be felt on Tuesday and there will be 13 cities in which a "level 3" is expected: Bologna, Bolzano, Brescia, Florence, Latina, Milan, Perugia, Rieti, Rome, Turin, Trieste, Verona and Viterbo. Only on Thursday will the heat wave move south, where temperatures are currently high but still acceptable, giving a slight respite to the most affected cities in the Centre-North.
