Utility, Terna is "World's Best Employer 2021"

Terna leads the world ranking of utilities, ranking third among Italian companies and 55th as the best employer globally. This is what emerged from the survey carried out by Forbes, in collaboration with the international research company Statistics.

The survey involved 150 full-time and part-time workers from 58 countries, asked, through an online survey, to evaluate their willingness to recommend their employers to friends and family and to evaluate other employers, in their respective sectors, which have distinguished themselves.

The results therefore determined the ranking of the 750 companies that received the highest scores in the world. The group led by Stefano Donnarumma has launched a series of innovative projects on the smart working front, accelerated by the advent of the pandemic crisis: offering its staff a new work model characterized by a hybrid approach, which allows them to carry out activities remotely, but within flexible and digitized hubs.

There are also several initiatives to support the birth rate and to support female employment and young parents who need to reconcile private life and work. The most recent is the inauguration of “MiniWatt”: the new company kindergarten, built in Rome at Terna's headquarters, which houses up to 23 children from 6 to 36 months.

In addition, the energy company has promoted health prevention initiatives, launched new agreements for services linked to sustainable mobility and recently inaugurated the new corporate wellness area at the Rome office: Terna's people are guaranteed a complete offer for fitness and physical well-being in a gym with the latest machinery and qualified personnel.

With regard to the energy transition, Terna foresees a 10% growth of its resources already in the first three years of the Business Plan. Together with the recruitment campaign launched at the beginning of the year, the company has forecast 100 new entries in the last quarter of 2021, thanks also to the launch of numerous collaborations with the departments of the STEM area (mathematics, physics, engineering, chemistry) of the most important Italian universities.
