Electronic cigarettes: stop selling online

Approved the amendment to the tax decree: only tobacconists and authorized resellers will be able to sell electronic cigarettes – An increase in the price of tobacco is also on the way to finance cancer research.

Stop selling e-cigarettes online. This was decided by the Senate Budget Committee which has approved an amendment to the tax law which was presented in connection with the manoeuvre: the amendment was presented by Simona Vicari of Alternativa Popolare.

So now only tobacconists and authorized resellers will be able to sell electronic cigarettes: the "distance" sale of this type of product is thus eliminated. Several houses that produce electronic cigarettes have recently introduced a new sales system which provides for a test period for the customer, also through the test through a tobacconist or an authorized dealer, who can then decide later on the purchase.

In the meantime, some news has also arrived with regard to taxes on smoking: "As chairman of the Health Commission, I presented an amendment to the Budget Law, signed by the entire Commission, which provides for the recovery of new resources for health, in particular with a additional tax on tobacco to finance innovative oncological drugs“, said the senator of the Pd Emilia De Biasi. “With this amendment – ​​explains De Biasi – we will intervene on the change in the taxation of tobacco for a revenue of around six hundred million. The amendment provides that five hundred million will be placed to cover the fund for innovative oncological drugs, a fund set up in the last budget law".
