Il Italian government he exercised the Golden Power on the activities carried out by Pirelli and Amet Hts in the defense sector. The Bicocca group itself announced this, explaining that the measure was approved by the Council of Ministers on September 24th and communicated to the two companies on Monday, September 28th.

On August 5, the two companies announced an agreement to jointly develop technologies for the creation of remote-controlled electric land vehicles to be used as rescue vehicles in particularly impervious and extreme surfaces and environments.
Well, according to the government, “they cover strategic relevance for the defense system, pursuant to Article 1 of Legislative Decree 2012, the activity carried out in the defence sector by both Pirelli and Abet Hts, as well as the co-development agreement".
The prescriptions
“With a criterion of maximum precaution and to protect the essential interests of national defense and security, the Prime Ministerial Decree has provided technical-organizational requirements" against the two companies. The aim, as can be read in the Pirelli note, is to "safeguard the industrial property rights, the know-how, the products and the related data strategic relevance for the national defense and security system and to guarantee the continuity and standard of research and development activities of Pirelli and Abet Hts for all activities carried out, and which will be carried out, in this sector".
