Rio 2016, another gold from shooting: 16 Italian medals

The 16th seal, fifth of the most precious metal, came from the very young Gabriele Rossetti in skeet – Rossetti is a son of art: father Bruno won the bronze in Barcelona '92, when he wasn't even born yet.

Rio 2016, another gold from shooting: 16 Italian medals

Gabriele Rossetti, who turned 21 in March, gives Italy the gold of skeet, the 16th medal of this expedition, the 5th of the most precious metal. Better than Bruno's father did in Barcelona '92, who won the bronze medal in a historic competition: the one won by the Chinese Zhang Shan, the first woman to win an individual mixed competition at the Games.

Today in the last two series Rossetti shot 50 out of 50 earning the play-off. With one mistake, he would have lost the semifinal. In the play-off, he hit 12 clay targets in a row, finding a place in the final six. Again, no mistakes: 16 out of 16 like Svensson from Sweden. When the Ukrainian Milchev missed a target, it was understood that the final was guaranteed. For a change, he continued with infallibility: 16 out of 16. And the Swede Svensson, on the last target, failed.
