I'm from a billion of euros each the two tranches of the bond launched this morning by Enel, with maturities of 5,5 and 10,5 years. This was reported by the ThomsonReuters Ifr service. The company, which has entrusted the placement to a pool of banks made up of, among others, Credit Suisse, Bank of America, Barclays Capital, Rbs and SocGen, has been rated Bbb+ by S&P and Fitch and Baa1 by Moody's .
The orders collected, explains a company source, amounted to the final figure of around 14 billion euros overall on the two tranches. The yield on the 5,5-year senior unsecured bond was pegged at 270 basis points above midswap, while the yield on the 10,5-year benchmark bond at 320bp above midswap, the Ifr previously reported.
The initial yield indication for the two issues was, respectively, in the 285 bps area and in the 330 bps area above the midswap. Pricing is expected within the day.
At the beginning of the afternoon, Enel's stock lost almost one and a half points on the stock market.
