Finmeccanica, for AgustaWestland 2 English contracts for 910 million euros

The first contract concerns the conversion of 25 AW101 Merlin helicopters for naval missions, the second the supply of support and maintenance services for the fleet of Apache AH Mk.1 combat helicopters for a period of five years.

Maxi English saleswoman for AgustaWestland. The Finmeccanica group company was awarded two contracts worth a total of around €910 million with the UK Ministry of Defence. In the wake of the news, by mid-morning the Finmeccanica stock on the Stock Exchange gained more than one and a half percentage points. 

Il first The contract relates to the conversion of 25 AW101 Merlin helicopters for naval missions as part of the Merlin Life Sustainment Program (“MLSP”). Once modified, the aircraft will be transferred to the Royal Navy to replace the fleet of Sea King Mk4 helicopters.

Il according to The contract provides for the provision of support and maintenance services for the fleet of Apache AH Mk.1 combat helicopters for a period of five years.
