Sparkle becomes a Google Verified Peering Provider (VPP) of level GoldThe certification recognizes the Italian operator's ability to offer Google a diverse, reliable and redundant connectivity and, at the same time, simplify access to its services for enterprises through its IP network and global Tier-1 backbone Seabone.
The program Google Verified Peering Provider It brings together Internet service providers that have diverse and reliable connectivity to Google's infrastructure. In this model, VPPs manage the peering relationship with Google and provide enterprise-grade connectivity to businesses and service providers, without them having to build and manage peering connections with the group directly.
Redundant and diverse connectivity
In this context, Sparkle can offer its customers access to Google services through its own IP infrastructure, leveraging on international coverage and redundancy of the Seabone networkConnectivity allows you to reach services such as Google Workspace, Cloud APIs, Cloud VPN, public IP addresses and different network layers over the Internet, with Sparkle managing the connection to the Google infrastructure.
The Gold level is characterised, in particular, by the availability of redundant and geographically diverse connections to Google in several metropolitan areas. This configuration is designed to increase network resilience and ensure greater continuity in access to services.
The certification is part of the broader international infrastructure of Seabone, Sparkle's Tier-1 IP backbone, which celebrates its thirtieth anniversary in 2026. The network currently comprises approximately 600 kilometers of proprietary, fully redundant optical fiber and reaches customers through 126 PoPs and TeleHouses distributed worldwide.
