The America's Cup is underway: here are the favourites, the jewels, the calendar and the TV programmes

It's time for the America's Cup. The top South American continental championship kicks off in Argentina and the team to beat, once again, will be the Brazil of Coach Menezes, stars Neymar and Ganso, Milan players Robinho, Pato, Thiago Silva and Inter fans J.Cesar, Maicon and Lucio . The green and gold national team, in addition to being the holder of the cup, also boasts an enviable record: they have won four of the last five editions.
The home team, led by captain J.Zanetti, has not yet managed to capitalize on an era in which it has the strongest player in the world, Lionel Messi, and a stellar attack (Higuain, Tevez, Lavezzi, Aguero, Milito ). The 'Italian' patrol was also large here, made up of no less than seven elements (Burdisso, Cambiasso, Pastore, Andujar in addition to the aforementioned Zanetti, Lavezzi and Milito).
Behind the two big names are Uruguay, semi-finalist in the last World Cup, of the various Cavani, Suarez and Forlan, Sanchez's Chile and Colombia of the star of Porto Falcao.
Closing the account Peru, Paraguay, Ecuador, Bolivia, Venezuela and the Central American Mexico and Costa Rica who present themselves with under 22 teams, given the almost concomitance with the Gold Cup, the tournament between the national teams of the North-Central American confederation which has just ended and was won from Mexico.

The tournament will end on July 24 with the final at the Monumental Stadium in Buenos Aires.
The 12 teams were divided as follows:
Group A: Argentina, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Colombia;
Group B: Brazil, Venezuela, Paraguay, Ecuador;
Group C: Mexico, Chile, Peru, Uruguay.

The exclusive TV for Italy was awarded to Sky Sport, which will broadcast all the matches live. It starts with Argentina-Bolivia (2/07 at 2.45, Sky Sport 1).
