Nicky Hayden didn't make it. The American motorcycling champion died today at the Bufalini hospital in Cesena following the serious road accident that took place on May 17 in Misano Adriatico, while he was training on his bike.
"The Medical Board has ascertained the death of the patient Nicholas Patrick Hayden, hospitalized since last Wednesday 17 May in the intensive care unit of the Bufalini Hospital in Cesena following the very serious multiple trauma that occurred on that same date". This is the note issued by the hospital.
Hayden was 36 years old, racing a superbike, having won the MotoGP championship in 2006.
