The number of companies involved in network contracts is growing, as reported by the monitoring of Infocamere - Lombardy leads the regional ranking, followed by Emilia-Romagna).

Network contracts, over 9 thousand companies involved

Over 1.800 contracts and 9 companies involved. All in four years. An ever growing number of entrepreneurs are inspired by the institution of the network contract and so the recent aggregation model gains momentum with good cards to play for the future as well. This is what emerges from a monitoring carried out by InfoRooms on this type of agreements registered in the Company Register managed by Italian Chambers of Commerce.

At the beginning of November, 1.836 network contracts were signed in Italy with 9.238 companies involved. The new tool is confirmed as an opportunity for businesses of all sizes to respond to the difficult economic situation and remain competitive on the market.

The regional ranking continues to be led by Lombardy with 2.021 companies in the network, while Emilia-Romagna consolidates its position with 1.133 companies. In third position is Tuscany with 939 subjects involved. More than 44% of Italian companies on the net are located in these three regions. Bringing up the rear are Valle d'Aosta (3) and Molise (38).

Despite the strong development observed in recent years, the degree of diffusion of network contracts is still relatively limited compared to the whole of the productive fabric. Abruzzo is the most active region, with 0,39% of regional enterprises in the network. At the Italian level it stops at 0,15%. In the ranking by province, considering the absolute values, the primacy belongs to Milan with 665 companies, followed by Rome with 457 companies and Brescia with 354. The ranking based on the degree of diffusion among the economic activities present in the province instead outlines a podium formed from Chieti, Pescara and Lecco respectively with 0,50%, 0,45% and 0,43% of the companies in the area belonging to a network.

At the sectoral level, industry in the strict sense prevails (32,7% of the companies in the network) and in particular the companies belonging to the metalworking chain followed by the fashion system and mechanics. The food sector is also highlighted with more than 300 companies, equal to 10% of the total sector. "Business services" are in second place (24,1% of the total) with the division linked to companies specializing in legal activities, accounting, business management and management consultancy leading the way (almost one in 2 companies).

Companies in the manufacturing sector are also the most enterprising in forming a network, with 0,49% of companies in the sector having entered into an aggregation agreement at the beginning of November. The diffusion of the new institute among agricultural enterprises is decidedly reduced: out of 770 companies, only slightly more than 500 are part of a network for a percentage equal to 0,07% of the total sector.

The complete set of official data on network contracts, subject to monthly monitoring, is offered by the portal, created by InfoCamere, contractsirete.registroimprese.it intended to support the creation and development of business networks in Italy.
