The government raises the question of confidence in the reform of the electoral law in the Chamber of Deputies. The Minister for Relations with Parliament Anna Finocchiaro communicated this to the Montecitorio Assembly.
After the go-ahead from the Council of Ministers, which authorized the government to go ahead with trust in the Rosatellum Bis, theory has moved on to practice. Bagari in the Chamber, shouts, whistles and protests coming from the benches of the M5S and from the deputies of the Mdp and the Italian Left.
We recall that the Government's decision came in the context of today's CDM, convened specifically to examine the request presented by the Democratic Party to lock down the electoral reform and protect it from secret votes. Thus the most dreaded risk, that of snipers who, protected by the secrecy of the urn, could have scuttled the law, no longer exists.
Mdp and Movimento 5 Stelle, have asked for the intervention of the Head of State, Sergio Mattarella who, however, has made it known that he cannot decide anything on the matter because the question concerns the Parliament-Government relationship.
