A path of digital training for unemployed between 40 and 50 years of age. It's called "Digital restart" and it's a free pilot project presented today in Milan. Promoted by Fideuram – Intesa Sanpaolo Private Banking and implemented by Talent Garden, the initiative provides for the disbursement of 75 scholarships to cover the costs and will kick off in September with a Masters in Data Analysis which aims to form 25 professionals over 40.
The matter was not chosen at random: according to research by Talent Garden, which collaborated with 40 human resource managers from partner companies, Data Analytics they are the most suitable area for the training of personnel between the ages of 40 and 50, the age group that has most suffered the effects of the pandemic crisis.
"In the two-year period 2020-2021, the employment crisis triggered by the health emergency also hit many middle-aged workers hard, who were left without work - he said Thomas Corcos, CEO of Fideuram – our attention has been turned to them, with an innovative proposal, capable of triggering a virtuous circle and in line with our corporate culture, aware of the fact that a serene future is a consequence of the choices we make today. We have therefore decided to offer people in difficulty, but with the motivation to continue learning, the possibility of investing in themselves and in knowledge, through an innovative path, capable of generating new skills".
The crisis triggered by Covid-19 has affected 12 million workers: according to Istat data, over 850 people have lost their jobs and the number of inactive people increased by nearly 460.
"Of the 850 jobs lost due to Covid, most concerned the over 40s, who in many cases found themselves outside the working context with difficult reintegration opportunities - he explains David Dattoli, CEO and co-founder of Talent Garden – We all know the opportunities that digital brings with it and the great demand for professionals with digital skills and for this reason we have decided to launch a real digital reskilling project for senior people left without work conducted in collaboration with an exceptional partner such as Fideuram – Intesa Sanpaolo Private Banking”.
In addition to meeting the personal data requirements and being unemployed, candidates must be resident or domiciled in Lombardy.
The master will start on September 27th and will end on December 23rd. It will be structured in 4 training days per week, organized with online and offline teaching, plus a day of independent study. The face-to-face sessions will take place on the Talent Garden Milano Calabiana Campus.
As for the selection, specific qualifications are not required but "previous work experience in organizational contexts, a passion for the digital world, an analytical mindset, a good knowledge of using PCs and a B1 level in English" are required.
