The Philadelphia Fed index for September is better than expected. The figure stood at -1,9 points from -7,1 in August. Analysts had expected a more modest improvement to -5 points. On the other hand, the super-index of the economy in August was worse than expected, falling by 0,1% in August against the expectations of economists of an unchanged performance compared to July. The previous month figure was revised up from +0,4% to +0,5%. Confirming the difficulties of the economy, the figure has decreased in three of the last six months.
