Il Integrated Water Service it is the real challenge of our millennium. It must face the challenges linked to climate change, which reduce the quantity and quality of the resource, and those of the modernization and efficiency of infrastructure. This requires a greater capacity to invest in efficient and sustainable projects, together with a strong push for technological innovation. In this sense, the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) can be a great opportunity. It is therefore necessary to carefully plan and design interventions and program financial resources, in order to make investments quickly, guarantee quality projects and, therefore, fully reap the benefits of the European fund.
Today, Thursday 21 September, the VI Annual Workshop of the Water Observatory OSWI of Agici which has the objective of identifying and discussing investment choices and development opportunities in the water sector, bringing around the table the SII managers, protagonists of the allocation of PNRR funds and the technological and financial world, capable of support the sector in investment choices and in the innovation process. The Minister of the Environment and Energy Security will also speak in live streaming, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, which will talk about the challenges of the water system and the National Platform for Sustainable Nuclear Energy.
The meeting will also be an opportunity to present the results of the Studio 2023 and to present the Water Service Manager award. This year's annual report focuses on the theme of the investment choices of water utilities and their ability to complete the works within the established times, in light of the implementation of the PNRR.
