Piaggio at full speed in Asia

453 Piaggio brand vehicles were sold worldwide between January and August. The new registrations of the Italian house have thus grown by 3,1% compared to the same period last year, when they were 439 thousand. The most surprising performance is that recorded in the Asia-Pacific area, where the group will exceed the target of 100 vehicles sold as early as 2011, two years ahead of the forecasts contained in the 2010-2013 business plan.

The data was communicated during the press conference called to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Moto Guzzi. Piaggio's goal is to grow production volumes and sales up to 10 units a year in the coming years. To achieve this result, investments of over 40 million euros and the launch of 3-4 new models are planned over the next five years.

Numbers that gave wings to the Piaggio stock on the Stock Exchange, up by more than six points around 16pm.
