Padoan: "Available to apply but Fornero won't be touched"

"There were talks and I made myself available." With these words the Minister of the Economy Pier Carlo Padoan he lifted his reservations about his possible candidacy in the general elections of 4 March.

Although the number one of the MEF has not currently indicated names and symbols, the hypothesis is obviously that of an sa candidacy in the ranks of the PD, for which there would have already been some cash with the Nazarene.

Answering journalists' questions before the start of the European conference on the 2021-2027 EU budget, Padoan intervened with a straight leg on the debate sparked by the centre-right on the possible abolition of the Fornero reform: "The Fornero pension reform is one of the pillars of the Italian pension system and the country's financial sustainability: of course, corrections are always possible, as for example was the case with the last budget law with the revision of the mechanisms for strenuous workers which made it possible to mitigate the impact of age adjustments retired. Reforms can always be improved, but abolishing them would be completely inappropriate".
