LuxuryEstate.com has analyzed the requests of Italians: Spain and Brazil are the two most popular destinations for buying luxury properties that allow you to spend the winter. And for a place in the sun in these two states, the average budget of Italians is equal to 3,5 and 2,5 million euros respectively.
However, these are not the higher figures required to buy a house abroad, away from the cold and frost. The United Arab Emirates are the country where the super-rich of our country spend the most to buy a luxury home, with an average budget of 4,5 million euros.
Scrolling through the top 10 of the most popular countries for Italians who buy luxury properties in hot countries (or at least with a mild climate all year round), after Spain and Brazil, the Dominican Republic and Portugal follow. Here, however, the budgets are reduced, while always remaining beyond the reach of most, and are equal to 1,8 and 2,5 million euros respectively.
In fifth place is Miami, where the average budget of real estate buyers is "just" 1,8 million euros.
To find a location close to our borders you have to go down to sixth position, where Malta is positioned, with an average budget of 3,5 million euros. The average figure that the Scrooges of our country put into account to buy a house in Barbados, the seventh most coveted exotic destination ever, is equal to 3,5 million.
In the top ten also the very popular Greece. Italians who aim for islets with a more temperate climate than Italian winters are willing to spend an average of 900.000 euros, the lowest figure in the ranking.
South Africa closes the ranking and attracts Italian scrooges willing to spend, on average, 1,9 million euros.
Going into detail about the two hot countries most loved by wealthy Italians who want to buy a second home in the sun, it turns out that for Spain the most sought-after destination is undoubtedly Ibiza, where more than one search out of three (35%) of those relating to this State. On the other hand, 20% of those who want to buy a luxury property in Spain dream of Marbella and take into account average budgets that exceed 5 million euros. In third place in the Spanish ranking is the island of Palma de Mallorca with its Port d'Andratx.
As far as Brazil is concerned, the most popular city is Salvador, which attracts 20% of Italians who want a home in this state. Following are Florianopolis and Rio de Janeiro. In the latter city research is concentrated with stellar budgets which, on average, exceed 6 million euros.
