The court of Milan today declared the state of insolvency of Ilva spa, the group active in the steel sector already under the control of the Riva family. The passage is part of the extraordinary administration procedure to which the company was admitted on 21 January.
The decree was signed last week by the Minister of Economic Development Federica Guidi, who at the same time appointed the three super-commissioners: confirmed Piero Gnudi and Corrado Carruba, who have managed Ilva in the last six months, joined by Enrico Laghi, full professor of Business Economics at the Sapienza University of Rome and member of various boards of statutory auditors of listed Italian companies (including Acea).
