Generali renews the supplementary contract: more protection, flexibility and welfare for workers

Generali has reached aagreement with the unions for renewal of the company supplementary contract, which will remain in force for the next two years and will affect approximately 14 thousand employees of the insurance group. The agreement, signed by all the main acronyms in the sector – Uilca, Fisac-Cgil, First-Cisl, Fna and Snfia – foresees important innovations in the economic and welfare fields.

Among main new features figure the provision of an extraordinary contribution one-off payment of 850 euros, accompanied by an 8% increase in the variable performance bonus. The welfare platform will be strengthened with an increase of 130 euros, while the value of meal voucher will increase by one euro and will also be recognized during smart working days. The agreement also includes a increase in corporate contribution to the supplementary pension fund: 0,5% for employees hired after 1999 and 0,3% for those hired before.

To complete the package, the Strengthening basic health coverage and the introduction of a contribution of 500 euros for each newborn child, which will be paid into a dedicated and interest-bearing pension account, for the benefit of the family.

Smart working, flexibility and the right to disconnect

The agreement also marks an important step forward in terms of work organizationThe possibility of working in has been confirmed smart working from one to three days a week, which may increase to four in the presence of children under the age of 14 o Health problems. Additional days will be available for parents in the three years following maternity or parental leave.

The principle of right to disconnect, regulating the hours of company meetings: from 9 to 18 from Monday to Thursday and from 9 to 14 on Friday, with a protected time slot during lunch time. To protect work sustainability, two agreements on the "Time management“, with the aim of overcoming rigid timetables in favour of greater flexibility.

Finally, they will be constituted three joint commissions which will follow the introduction of artificial intelligence, models ESG and issues related to theactive aging and the Skills Management.

Unions approve: “historic and innovative agreement”
