Finmeccanica is down in Piazza Affari after the news on the postponement of the appointments fuels some concern on the market for the possible implications on the divestment strategies of the aerospace and defense group. In the early hours of the afternoon, the stock lost more than 2%.
In tomorrow's meeting, the Ministry of the Economy will propose to postpone the appointment of the two directors of its own designation, to replace the former president and managing director Giuseppe Orsi and Franco Bonferroni, both involved in judicial investigations. Therefore, the appointment of the new president of the public aerospace and defense company is skipped, after Orsi was arrested last February (later released) for an investigation into alleged bribes paid in India for the sale of 12 AgustaWestland helicopters.
