Finmeccanica, maxi contract in Hawaii

Contract worth 1,334 billion dollars signed through the subsidiaries Ansaldo Sts and AnsaldoBreda – The work involves the construction of the technological part and the supply of vehicles for the new driverless subway line in the city of Honolulu.

Finmeccanica lands in Hawaii. Through its subsidiaries Ansaldo Sts and AnsaldoBreda, the Italian giant signed a contract with the Honolulu Authority for rapid transportation for the construction of the technological part and the supply of vehicles for the new line driverless subway of the city of honolulu. The company made it known in a statement.

The contract is worth $1,334 billion. Ansaldo Sts' share amounts to 1,136 billion dollars, while AnsaldoBreda's share is equal to 198 million dollars. The design and construction phases will last 8 years, while the operation and maintenance of the line will begin in 2015 for the first section and in 2019, until 2029, for the entire line.
