Eataly on the Stock Exchange, but only in 2018

Eataly will land on the Stock Exchange, as assured by the founder of the company Oscar Farinetti, in the course of an interview with Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor Plus on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the birth of his supermarket chain of Italian products. However, the listing will only take place in 2018 regardless of the turnover target achieved by the group.

“I think the investors – said Farinetti – will be very lucky because we operate in a sector with a future, with an offer that enjoys enormous demand around the world”.

Turnover has nothing to do with it - he continued - Andrea Guerra (the president of Eataly, who succeeded Farinetti in the office in 2015, ed.) will decide on the details.

We remind you that the food product chain can now count on 20 points of sale located throughout the national territory and covers 12 foreign countries. Based on the objectives set, Eataly should travel at the rate of 4-6 openings
points of sale a year, starting with the upcoming openings in cities such as Los Angeles and Las Vegas in the United States and Stockholm
in Sweden.

In addition, during the current year, the company will inaugurate Fico (Fabbrica italiana contadina), the 80-square-metre theme park on food that will be built in Bologna and in which the group founded by Farinetti has invested 100 million euros. The aim is to bring "at least six million visitors, of which over one million foreign tourists" to Emilia.
