DigiTouch acquires 10% of Open Gate Italia

DigiTouch SpA, one of the major independent Italian players active in digital marketing and a company listed on the AIM Italia market since 16 March 2015, today completed the purchase of 10% of Open Gate Italia Srl, a consultancy company specializing in Public Affairs, Media Relations, Strategy & Regulation and Digital PR.

The operation was formalized through the subscription of a capital increase entirely reserved to DigiTouch, which proceeded partly in cash and partly through the contribution of treasury shares.

Founded in Rome in 2008 by three managers of leading companies in the telecommunications, media and ICT sectors (Laura Rovizzi, Franco Spicciariello and Tullio Camiglieri), Open Gate Italia specializes in the synergistic management of institutional relations, regulatory affairs and corporate communication activities. The strategic consultancy approach is a trait in common with the DigiTouch Group and the complementary nature of the services offered makes it possible to create mutual value, both in terms of increasing skills and generating new business on the reciprocal customer bases.

«We are very satisfied with this operation because the complementarity of the portfolios allows us to strengthen our value proposition towards customers, integrating Open Gate's skills and specializations in highly regulated network markets within our strategic approach to digital marketing (TLC, media, transport, energy) and with regard to the decision-making and communication dynamics connected to them», comments Paolo Mardegan, CEO of the DigiTouch Group.

«We are delighted with the entry of the DigiTouch Group into our company because we strongly believe in the strategic approach to brand communication», says Laura Rovizzi, CEO of Open Gate Italia. «The Group's in-depth knowledge of the digital marketing ecosystem and the expertise in designing cross-media communication campaigns, managed with the most innovative technological solutions, will thus allow us to offer our customers a high-value service added, to integrate the strategic value proposition of Open Gate Italia» concludes Rovizzi.

With the completion of this transaction, DigiTouch Spa effectively enters the share capital of Open Gate Italia Srl (now divided into: 57,60% Laura Rovizzi; 17,98% Franco Spicciariello, 14,42% Tullio Camiglieri, 10% DigiTouch SpA) and acquires the right to appoint a representative to the Board of Directors, to whom Paolo Mardegan has designated.
