Chrysler: 2012 profit jumps to 1,7 billion

In the fourth quarter, however, the Fiat subsidiary reported a 68% increase in net profits compared to the same period of the previous year (from 225 to 378 million dollars), thanks to the continuous increase in sales. Net sales were $17,152 billion, up 13% from $15,129 billion in Q2011 XNUMX. 

For 2013, Chrysler expects net income of approximately $2,2 billion, operating income of $3,8 billion, free cash flow of $72 billion, net sales between $75 and $2,6 billion, and global shipments. for 2,7-XNUMX million cars.

Last quarter adjusted operating income was $711 million, up from $508 million in the same period last year, while for the full 2012 figure it was $2,912 billion, up 4,4 .1,975% more than the 2011 billion in XNUMX.

Adjusted Ebitda was $1,3 billion for the quarter, while for the year it was $5,5 billion, or 8,3% of net revenue, up 15% compared to 2011.

As of December 31, available cash was $11,6 billion, compared with $11,9 billion in the prior three months and $9,6 billion at the end of 2011. Total available liquidity was $12,9 billion, including 1,3 .280 billion of a revolving credit line. Cash flow was negative $2,2 million for the quarter, due to seasonal factors, but positive $2012 billion for XNUMX.

Again as of 31 December last year, gross industrial debt stood at 12,6 billion, in line with the previous quarter and slightly above the 12,5 billion of December 2011, while the net debt rose to one billion dollars, from 700 million for the three months ending in June, but below the 2,9 billion in December 2011.

In the fourth quarter, Chrysler sold 533.000 cars globally, up from 479.000 in the same period last year, and registered 2012 million in 2,2, up 18 percent from 1,9's 2011 million. market share in the United States was 11,2% last year, versus 10,5% in 2011, while in Canada it was 14,2%.
