Cattolica launches a policy that protects against the risks of the Gdpr

TUA Assicurazioni, a company of the Cattolica Assicurazioni Group, has launched a new policy, called TUA Data Protection, which protects policyholders against the risks associated with compliance with the new rules for the protection of personal data (GDPR).

The new policy was developed together with Cattre, another company belonging to the Cattolica group which deals with reinsurance for non-traditional risks, and is aimed at SMEs, individual professionals and professional firms in order to provide support for all those subjects who have to apply the new privacy legislation, as innovative as it is difficult to understand and apply.

"TUA Data Protection - reads a note - allows the policyholder to evaluate online the adequacy of the company to the provisions of the legislation, highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of the company organization and allowing the implementation of corrective measures and risk prevention".

The policy guarantees compensation to third parties for liability deriving from violations of the law regarding the protection of personal data or violations of network security systems causing the unavailability or exfiltration of data. Customers will also have access to an assistance service for specialist emergency management, notification, investigation, credit position check, data recovery and restoration and legal fees.

Nazareno Cerni, managing director of TUA Assicurazioni and of CATTRe, commented: "This solution offers an effective tool to progressively and serenely approach full regulatory compliance, mitigating the business risk deriving from an inadequate application of privacy legislation".
