Stock exchange, Saipem slips on Eni's strategic plan

Bad day for Saipem at Piazza Affari. In fact, the share of Eni's subsidiary fell by more than 3% in the late morning, showing itself as the black shirt of the Italian stock market, which in the same minutes travels in largely positive territory.

The skepticism that surrounds the strategic plan presented last Friday by the parent company Eni weighs on the prices of the oil sector company, which does not consider Saipem as one of the companies to be sold to achieve the 8 billion in disposals foreseen by the project.

The main fear of analysts is that of the hypothesis, which seems to be growing stronger, of a capital increase. Hypothesis made more likely, according to many, by the possible arrival of Stefano Cao at the top of Saipem in place of Umberto Vergine.
