Stock Exchange: Italcementi runs after publication of the 2014 accounts

In Piazza Affari, the spotlight is on Italcementi, which in the mid-morning runs fast on the Stock Exchange, recording increases of more than 4% to 6,98 euros per share.

The publication of the accounts for 2014 gave wings to the shares of the cement producer group, closed by Italcementi with consolidated revenues of 4.156 million euros, down 1,8% on an annual basis, a gross operating margin ( EBITDA) up 3,2% to 649,1 million and a net loss of 48,9 million, almost halved compared to the 88,2 million recorded in 2013. The group's net financial debt stood at 2.157 million against 1.934 at the end of 2013.

Italcementi's board of directors has also announced that it will propose to the shareholders' meeting (April 17) the distribution of a dividend of 0,09 euro per share. The entire amount will be withdrawn from the extraordinary reserve.

Although the difficulties remain, above all due to an unfavorable context, the restructuring and cost efficiency actions implemented over the years have favored these first signs of recovery, which were particularly strong in the fourth quarter of the year. The first forecasts for 2015 foresee a slight increase in EBITDA compared to 2014.
