The race from Monte dei Paschi di Siena to Piazza Affari does not stop. The shares of the Tuscan institute are still the best of the Ftse Mib today with an increase of 1,70% in the early afternoon, but which had reached +5,53% to 0,248 euros in the morning, with sustained volumes: they hand today alone 176 million pieces compared to the average 105 million in an entire session of the last month.
MPS thus leads to an overall performance of almost +9% in the last month, certainly benefiting from the drop in the BTP-Bund spread, a factor to which MPS is very sensitive given the large portfolio of government bonds held, and from speculation on possible new members arriving against a reduction in the weight of the Foundation. In the meantime, a meeting of the body's general deputation is scheduled for tomorrow, which could decree the appointment of the new president and the managing deputation (the board), even if a new postponement is not excluded.
