Allianz Global Assistance confirms the objectives for 2015 recording a growth in turnover in 2012 of more than 9% compared to 2011, to 2.238 billion euros, a result to which all the regions in which the Group operates and the three business areas (automotive, travel, health-home and everyday life) contributed equally. The company communicates it in a note.

The Group also improves the combined ratio equal to 96%, marking a net profit growth above 20,1% (which amounted to 113 million euros) despite the difficult economic situation.

“Thanks to everyone's efforts, we have once again demonstrated our ability to meet the needs of both our global and local clients around the world,” commented Rémi Grenier, CEO and President of Allianz Global Assistance.

In 2012, the Roadside Assistance segment grew by 8,8% compared to 2011 and today represents 38% of the Group's total turnover, while travel insurance grew by 5,1% and now represents 44 % of the total. With a value equal to 18% of turnover, health, home and life insurance continued to grow in 2012.

The Group maintains a good balance between the different activities in the three regions in which it operates. While Europe still accounts for 60% of total business with a 7,6% increase in 2012, the Asia-Pacific region accounts for 16,6% of total business with the largest year-on-year increase (+ 13%). The American continent, which in 2012 accounted for 23,4% of the Group's business, saw its total turnover increase by 10,3% compared to the previous year.
