The European Investment Group 21 Invest driven by Alessandro Benetton has acquired control of Energreen, a Vicenza-based company owned by the Fraron family which produces large machines for the professional protection of green areas.
Born in the late 90s from the idea of the brothers Lino and Ivo, energygreen is now in the second family generation with Daniele, with 150 employees and a turnover that is expected to reach 70 million this year, but with the prospect of double it in the next 3 years.
“The ambitious long-term future growth strategy envisages a doubling of the turnover thanks to international expansion, in particular of the American market, and will be aimed at creating the leader in the sector at a global level” says a note from the company.
21 Invest doubles down and also buys the other company Fraron
At the same time as this transaction, another subsidiary of 21 Invest, the Friulian Aussafer, has acquired the other company of the Fraron family, the Venetian Laserjet, which instead deals with high-tech metalworking.
Energreen's large machines, which include self-propelled machines that operate on river banks or along roads, remote-controlled robotic vehicles for reaching particularly steep terrain, as well as machines with telescopic arms that alone cover more than 50% of turnover, are sold in Italy for about 30%, while 70% of the turnover is made abroad, especially in countries where Energreen is present with a direct branch, such as France (which alone covers about 40% of the European market), Germany and the United States .
Daniele Fraron will be managing director
“Energreen's technology is at the service of the environment and represents the fundamental prerequisite for preventing the factors of hydrogeological risk and ensure effective protection of the territory” says a note. Production takes place in the recently built plant in the province of Vicenza on over 20 square metres, with an installation of photovoltaic panels which allows for 30% self-consumption.
“At Energreen we firmly believe that every new challenge presents the opportunity to create a better future,” he says Daniel Fraron, managing director in the next phase of industrial development alongside 21 Invest. “What will this challenge look like alongside 21 Invest that we are very excited about and will be a further commitment to improve our organization. A shared entrepreneurial vision and the union of forces and skills will allow us to carry out an ambitious development project, under the banner of continuity in the territory represented by the permanence of the Fraron family in the company".
“Energreen is a local industrial reality that already boasts an international leadership” he comments Alessandro Benetton, president and founder of 21 Invest “The Fraron family's attention to constantly innovating technologies, and with a great focus on environmental sustainability, is a fundamental starting point for 21 Invest which will make its skills available for the affirmation of Energreen as the undisputed leader in the sector worldwide".
