Volkswagen, showdown at the top of Porsche

The showdown at Porsche, Volkswagen group is approaching. This week the board of directors of the German group will meet, which will limit itself to examining the accounts, without addressing the chapter on appointments. Yet, according to Bild am Sonntag (news relaunched by Bloomberg), the Porsche and Piech families intend to remove former company president Ferdinand Piech from the supervisory board of Porsche SE, to which they have channeled their stakes in Volkswagen.

The patriarch of the group accused the rest of the family, starting with the hated cousin Wolfgang Porsche, of having been aware of the diesel anomalies and having hidden them.

Porsche's new supervisory board will be renewed on May 30 and the lists, as Automotive News writes, will be decided by mid-April. While Wolfgang Porsche and Hans Michel Piech (Ferdinand's brother) would be in the list of candidates, Ferdinand's name would not be there.

However, Porsche SE has specified that the future composition of the list has not yet been decided.
