La Be, the Italian Society for International Organization, together with the Navy they created the Spring School "Italy, a maritime country: challenges and opportunities” with the aim of promoting greater awareness aboutimportance of maritimeity for Italy. Recognizing the fundamental role of the sea is crucial to consolidate the national identity as a maritime country and to strengthen the economy that benefits from marine resources. The course lasts 36 hours yes will take place in hybrid mode (web live and in person), from 15 March to 4 May 2024.
Who is the course aimed at?
The course is open to young graduates and undergraduates of all disciplines, as well as a civil public officials and military, private operators in the security and shipping sectors, analysts, diplomats, professionals, researchers and journalists.
The Spring School program
The course lasts 36 hours, divided into 12 sessions, which will be held in hybrid mode (live online and in person), 15 from March to May 4 2024. The program is divided into educational modules dedicated to the following thematic contexts:
- The international context and the importance of sea power
- Fault lines in the Wider Mediterranean and beyond
- Navigating the Future: strategic interests and the Blue Economy
- Unsafe Sea, Expensive Sea
At the end of the course, he will come issued a certificate of participation to those who have attended at least 80% of the lessons. Furthermore, those who wish will be able to present a journalistic paper on a topic covered in the course and request a final evaluation.
