Piazza Affari best European Stock Exchange (+2,2%)

Thanks to the conspicuous rises of the Agnelli group, Eni, Generali and Bpm, the Milan Stock Exchange is the pink jersey of Europe - Geox's exploit (+11%) - All the lists have seen a big sweep, both due to the rise in oil than for US GDP growth beyond expectations – Ok the Btp auction.

The European stock exchanges recovered and closed the last session of the week in positive territory. The Ftse Mib rises by 2,22%. The trend was consolidated after the auction of medium and long-term government bonds: the operation concluded positively, 8,25 billion euro of securities were placed, in the upper part of the forecast range between 6,75 and 8,25 billion. The Treasury has placed 4 billion euros of the new BTP expiring in June 2016 at a yield of 1,50%, up from 1,44% in the previous auction. The November 2020 BTP was placed for 2,25 billion, on an offer of 1,75-2,25, with a yield of 0,44% (against 0,42%).

In Europe, Paris rose by 1,56%, Frankfurt by 1,95% and London by 1,38%. The data on the US GDP, which grew by 1% in the fourth quarter, also gave impetus to the European lists. The figure was revised up by 0,7% and above expectations. The euro-dollar exchange rate dropped 0,77% to 1,0933. On Wall Street, the S&P500 advances positive while the Dow Jones moves uncertainly around par. WTI oil rose by 0,36% to 33,19 dollars a barrel, after returning above 35 dollars a barrel during the day.

Today oil companies are moving upwards: Tenaris leaps by 9,34%: the world leader in seamless pipes, has been raised to Neutral by Credit Suisse. Saipem rises by 4,35% and Eni is rewarded with a rise of 5,83% after the announcement of the fourth quarter accounts. There are several reasons for the upward push: higher-than-expected daily production, significantly lower-than-expected debt and the expectation of a dividend in line (0,40 euro on the balance) have restored optimism. Unipol +6,42%, FCA +5,83% and Exor +5,09% are also highlighted.

Enel did well (+1,26%%). This morning Standard & Poor's revised the outlook to stable from positive, the rating remains BBB. Geox +10,41% celebrates return of profit and dividend. At the bottom of the Ftse Mib Campari -0,68%, Mps -0,68%, Atlantia -0,61%, Anima -0,4% and Luxottica -0,38%.
