Piazza Affari, Buffet sends Milano Assicurazioni and Fonsai flying

According to some rumors, the American financier's Berkishire Hathaway is in the running for the assets that the UnipolSai group has put up for sale - The subject of interest would be the subsidiary Milano Assicurazioni plus other assets - The list of possible buyers also includes Axa, Allianz and Zurich .

The voices of a Warren Buffett's interest in Milano Assicurazioni give wings to the company's stock on the Stock Exchange, which gained 5,77% in the late morning. The parent company Fondiaria Sai also flies to Piazza Affari: +5,34%. The rise of Unipol (+1,57%) was less marked.

According to some rumors, the American financier's Berkishire Hathaway is in the running for the assets that the UnipolSai group has put up for sale (1,8 billion euro of premiums) in compliance with the indications of the Antitrust. The subject of the interest would be the subsidiary Milano Assicurazioni plus other assets. 

“The press speaks of a combined ratio of around 90% for these assets and of a valuation of between 500 and 800 million euros (0,3-0,45 times the gross written premiums, editor's note): our estimate is 700 million ”, specify the analysts of Intermonte. The sale price will in any case be assessed in the light of any guarantees offered by UnipolSai on the reserves and on the amount of equity transferred with the policy portfolio.

They also appear on the list of possible buyers Axa, Allianz e Zurich. All non-binding offers should arrive on Friday.
