Leonardo has signed up with the trade unions Fim Cisl, Fiom Cgil and Uilm un corporate protocol to counter the spread of the coronavirus Covid-19 in the workplace. The agreement also provides that industrial production will continue, albeit at a slower pace.
The plan is valid 16 from March to 25 and is divided into two parts.
1) On 16 and 17 March, activities in all the group's plants, headquarters and offices will be suspended to allow extraordinary cleaning and sanitization of the company premises. In any case, the essential activities for the safeguarding, maintenance and continuity of the systems, IT infrastructures and goods reception and shipment services will be guaranteed. "Activities functional to urgent business needs and/or commitments undertaken towards customers will also continue - reads Leonardo's note - activities connected to sectors of public utility, safety, health and the armed forces; the activities necessary for carrying out the works to intensify the prevention and safety measures in the workplace". Whenever possible, smartworking will be used.
2) From 18 to 25 March there will be "suspensions and reductions of selective and modular activities, achieved through progressive partial reactivations of operational activities". Employee absences will be covered mainly with the use of holidays from previous years, paid leave and recovery leave.
On the subject of working hours, shifts and breaks, measures will be activated to avoid as much as possible incoming and outgoing contacts, in the common areas and in the rotations between shifts, as well as to decongest the production lines.
Finally, to verify the application of the rules of the protocol was formed a Committee which will meet remotely on March 17 and 24. The objective is to "evaluate, also in the light of the evolution of the ongoing epidemiological phase, any further solutions aimed at guaranteeing the safety of workers and the progressive and/or complete recovery of operational activities", concludes the note.
