Istat: the recovery is more solid in Italy

“In Italy, economic growth is consolidating with widespread positive signals at sectoral level and on the labor market”. This was stated by Istat which published its monthly note in conjunction with the data, also positive, on the June retail sales.

“It improves consumer confidence and, in part, that of businesses. The leading indicator remains positive” observes the statistical institute.

“The favorable trend on the labor market is expected to continue in the short term”. “In the second quarter, employed employees increased (+0,9%), both permanent (0,3%, +42 thousand) and, to a greater extent, temporary (+4,3%, +109 thousand) while – always explains Istat – the substantial reduction of self-employed workers continued (-1,6%, -87 thousand units)”.
