The company operates in artesian well drilling, routine and extraordinary maintenance, geothermal well construction, and pumping systems, also leveraging proprietary patented technologies.

The details of the agreement

Idrogeo will immediately integrate into the Aquanexa group, thus expanding the company's expertise. Infrastructures and Plants business unit, led by Tec.Am, which deals with the construction and management of drinking water and wastewater treatment plants.

“The entry of Idrogeo allows Aquanexa to complete its offering by extending the value chain to include the search for and collection of well water: an important source of supply, but recently less attention paid than the activities dedicated to reducing network losses, on which a large part of the investments of the PNRR period have been concentrated,” explains the company in a statement.

The words of the leaders

Andrea Lanuzza, CEO of Aquanexa Idrogeo will immediately integrate into the Aquanexa Group, allowing us to complete the Group's service portfolio and extend the value chain to include wells, an important water catchment source that isn't always given the due attention and a key component of our industrial strategy. In recent years, also as a result of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), we have focused primarily on reducing water losses, but the new challenges facing the water and industrial sectors must also address resource availability. In this regard, Arera has introduced the new M0 – Water Resilience indicator, and we are embracing this challenge by complementing Idrogeo's technical services with analysis and monitoring tools and digital platforms dedicated to the predictive maintenance of wells and the monitoring of all water catchment facilities.

Enrico Di Rubba, CEO of Tec.Am and director of the Infrastructures & Plants BU He adds: "The addition of Idrogeo naturally expands the capabilities of the Infrastructures and Plants business unit, complementing Tec.Am's plant engineering expertise with a new area dedicated to well collection, drilling, and maintenance. Together, they allow us to cover an even broader segment of the water cycle. We will be able to leverage the Group's existing skills, technologies, and resources, developing new solutions to support customers throughout all phases of water resource management."

Gino Longo and Claudio Guareschi, Idrogeo's directors commented: "Over forty-five years of business, we have built a wealth of specialized expertise and technological innovation, which today finds in Aquanexa the ideal environment for continued growth. We share the same industrial vision and the belief that the availability of water resources will become one of the key challenges of the coming years. Joining the Group means we can apply our experience to increasingly complex projects, maintaining the technical quality and capacity for innovation that have always distinguished Idrogeo."
