Goldman Sachs filed second quarter results. Goldman Sachs reported net profits broadly unchanged over the same period a year ago in the three months to June, while earnings per share increased 6%.
Goldman Sachs earnings beat expectations
The Bank of New York posts profits higher than analysts' forecasts. The return on capital has reached excellent levels both in the subscription of the debt and for the equity part. Favorable results were also reported for capital and liquidity levels
The figure was higher than expected, despite the difficulties in trading activities. Notably, the New York bank posted net profits of $1,831 billion -- or $3,95 per share -- versus $1,822 billion ($3,72 per share) in the same period last year. analysts were expecting earnings of $3,39 per share.Earnings applicable to common shareholders came in at $1,631 billion, unchanged from $1,634 billion in the same period of 2016. Revenue decreased 1% from 7,93 to $7,89 billion, again better than the expected $7,52 billion.
