Enel GP: profit down, capacity jump

Enel Green Power closed 2015 with a net profit of 166 million euros, a decrease of 53,8% compared to 2014. The company has published the data on its annual accounts which were affected by the drop in EBIT (- 23,1% to 785 million) and a higher incidence of taxes for the year, equal to 184 million euros in 2015. During the year, the group increased its installed capacity by 50% for a further 1,5 GigaWatt . The total net capacity rises to 10,5 Gigawatt (+9,4%) and net production increased by 5,7% to 33,6Twh. During the year, EGP entered the Indian and Kenyan markets and adopted a new organizational structure divided as follows: Europe and North Africa, which includes North Africa, in addition to the countries previously included in the Europe area; Latin America; North America; Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia including India and South Africa, previously included in the Europe area. The representation of the economic and financial results by business area for 2014 has been restated, the note specifies, according to the new organizational structure.

Lastly, the board of directors postponed to a subsequent meeting the completion of the integration with Enel (expected by the end of the current month) and the delisting of Enel Green Power, the proposal for the distribution of any dividend relating to the 2015 financial year as well as the convening of the assembly for the approval of the budget.
